Landscape photography workshop opens Sept. 19 at nature museum

Photographer Tom Doyle will offer a three session workshop series, “Landscape Photography: Start to Finish,” at The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, in Cornwall. Sunday, Sept. 19 (1 to 4 p.m.) that will cover image composition, understanding and using natural light and finding the creatively correct exposure. Sunday, Sept. 26 (7 to 10 a.m.) will put session one into practice by taking photographs in the field under Doyle’s guidance. Sunday, Oct. 3 (1 to 4 p.m.) will cover how to digitally develop images taken during session two by fine tuning exposure, white balance, color balance and saturation. Participants should bring a digital camera and manual, which has been read. Class size is limited. Pre-paid registration required. Cost for all three classes: $120 per person. Members: $85.
