GOSHEN-Fifth grade students at Goshen Intermediate School recently participated in the school district transportation department's first Bus Safety Jeopardy competition. To play, contestants chose a category, such as "Hop on the Bus, Gus," "Big Yellow Fellow," or "Cool Rules." As in the popular game show "Jeopardy," contestants were required to respond in the form of a question. Members of the Transportation Department served as judges. After three rounds, the contestants with the most points advanced to Final Jeopardy. They were Jamie Lisack with 31 points, Allegra Anderson with 36 points, and Kevin Donnelly with 37 points. The final answer was "These eight items are marked the same way on a full-size school bus." Jamie Lisack of the Cully Chameleons answered correctly—"What are emergency exits?"—to acquire the most points and become the first-ever Bus Safety Jeopardy champion, winning a pizza party for her class.
