Jackie Sheeler to read at Poetry on the Loose Saturday

Warwick — Jackie Sheeler will read her work at the next program in the Poetry on the Loose Reading/Performance Series at 7 West St. in Warwick at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6. Sheeler’s latest full-length collection is “Earthquake Came to Harlem,” published by NY Quarterly Books. She is also the author of “The Memory Factory,” winner of the Magellan Prize and was once named the Poet Laureate of Riker’s Island. She founded both the www.poetz.com Web site and the Pink Pony reading series at the Cornelia St. Cafe. Following the feature, others are welcome to read original work. Admission is free.
