Fine Arts Festival will be held Oct. 1 at Sacred Heart Parish

Monroe - An evening of original fine art displayed in a tent on the grounds of Sacred Heart Parish in Monroe will include wine sampling, refreshments, live classical and jazz music and door prizes on the evening of Friday, Oct. 1. The art works are by local visual artists based on the theme, “Transitions,” and include paintings, mixed media, photography and carvings. In addition to the art exhibit, a separate silent auction will be held to benefit the local soup kitchen, Our Father’s Kitchen. Admission is $15 per person. A Fall Fine Arts Festival raffle will be drawn that evening which entitles the holder to two admissions to the event as well as a chance for the grand prize of $10,000, or a $1,000 second prize, or a $500 third prize and five $100 fourth prizes.
