Classic Choral Society's Spring season includes Carnegie Hall appearance

    Classic Choral Society, under the direction of Janiece Kohler, begins its 2005 rehearsal season on Monday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. to prepare Haydn's "Theresienmesse" tor Orange County concerts that will be presented on May 1 and May 7. A first-night social hour begins at 6:30 pm. At the invitation Maestro Jonathan Griffith, conductor-in-residence of NYC-based Mid-America Productions, Classic Choral Society singers will have the opportunity to be selected by Kohler to represent the Choral Society in an additional performance of the Haydn mass, scheduled to take place at Carnegie Hall on April 24. Rehearsal location is United Church of Christ, Route 94 at Old Dominion Road in Blooming Grove (between Washingtonville and Chester). The Choral Society will welcome any adult with experience singing in a church, school or community choir, and who is passionate about preparing the highest quality performances of choral music.
