Black and Blues Weekend at winery

Warwick — Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host its Black and Blues Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and Aug. 1. The festivities start at noon on Saturday with Docs Blues and BBQ. Performers include the Brian Dougherty Band, The Petey Hop band, Phil Minissale, The Reddan Brothers and The Michael Packer Blues Band. Barbecue chicken, pork and oysters will be available for purchase. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The next day, Black Sunday, is the winery’s tribute to the music of Johnny Cash, an event begun six years ago to pay tribute to Cash and celebrate his life and music. The Kennedys will be featured. Other performers include PEU$ CASH, Marty Koppel, Tim O’Donohue, The Whiskey Sinners and the Dave McKeon band. The winery’s bakery and café, Pané, will be open serving sandwiches and pizzas.
