    Night Stage at Warwick Valley Winery Warwick — The Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host Night Stage on Thursday, June 2. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Hosted by local singer/songwriter Paul Siegel, and produced by Bozarts Media Group, Night Stage is an event involving the in a live filming. Each Night Stage episode will subsequently be broadcast exclusively on bozarts.com, with a full show aired on WTBQ 93.5 FM. Bozarts.com has recently produced an in depth report of the Pine Island School closing and is currently presenting other media pieces from some of the region’s best producers. Find your treasure at Chester Historical Society yard sale CHESTER — The Chester Historical Society will hold its 19th annual yard sale on Saturday, June 4 at the 1915 Erie Depot Museum at 19 Winkler Place in downtown Chester. The sale will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Categories include furniture, electronics, small appliances, sports equipment, tools, glassware and collectibles, toys, games and puzzles, books, records, tapes and discs. Officials said this sale will have something for everyone and benefits the society’s mission of preserving its history and providing free programs for the public. African fabrics are the focus for Warwick Art League lecture Warwick — The Warwick Art League will host a lecture by Roslyn Fassett focusing will focus on traditional, decorated African fabrics on Sunday, June 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Warwick Senior Center. The talk will be illustrated with examples of textiles from Fassett’s collection, gathered from trips to Mali and Nigeria. The discussion will include an explanation of how fabrics in Africa are used in everyday life, festivals and ceremony. Fassett, a Warwick artist, has taught African Art History at SUNY Purchase and uses fabric patterns as inspiration in her paintings. The lecture is free for art league members and $5 for others. Everything’s coming up roses Greenwood Lake — The Green Thumb garden series will feature “Roses,” with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Master Gardeners, on Tuesday, May 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Greenwood Lake Public Library. The master gardeners will teach participants about the many different types of roses available, their culture, and their care at this floral gardening presentation. Breakfast, raffle to benefit Coviello family Tuxedo — The public is invited attend a community pancake breakfast in support of the Coviello family on Sunday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The Sons of Italy in Tuxedo. All proceeds will go toward the costs and expenses related to Jeanette Coviello’s treatment and continuing battle with cancer. Adults, $10 and children, $5. Donations accepted. Tickets on sale for Terpsichore the Dancerschool’s recital Harriman — The Harriman-based Terpsichore the Dancerschool will present its annual recital entitled, ”The Music of Our Lives,” on Sunday, June 5, with performances at 12 and 5 p.m. at the Monroe-Woodbury High School. The entire dance school and its faculty will present choreographed creative movement, ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, pointe and hip hop performances. This also includes the school’s all-boys classes, its dance company and adult classes. Students have spent months refining their performances during rehearsals so they are ready to appear before audiences. They will dance to music in a variety of genres, including: “Goody Two Shoes,” “Respect,” “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah,” “Waltz of the Flowers,” “Club Can’t Handle Me” and “Express Yourself,” among dozens more. Tickets are $14 each and can be purchased in advance at the dance studio. Any extra tickets will be sold during the June 4 dress rehearsal or on the day of the performances. 'Water for Elephants’ book talk WOODBURY - The Woodbury Public Library will have a discussion of the book, “Water for Elephants,” by Sara Gruen at its June 1 Book Talk Group at the Highland Mills Branch of the library at 7:30 p.m. This romantic novel travels back and forth in time between Jacob Jankowski’s present day in a nursing home and his adventures in the surprisingly harsh world of 1930s circuses.
