Wayne Chan is a public servant who makes his community better
I am writing on behalf of my friend and colleague, Wayne Chan. I met Wayne five years ago when I first ran for Village Trustee. Wayne has been an inspiration and a mentor through my years as an elected official. The experience that he has brought to the table over the years, working on Wall Street and now head of IT for Mercedes Benz brings a corporate-style business to the table. This I feel is the check and balance we need between government and the private sector. Wayne has also sacrificed a lot of his personal life from his family to serve as a public servant to try and make our community the greatest to live in. Wayne Chan is a person of independent thinking. He does not just go with the status quo. He speaks his mind when it needs speaking. Always for the right reasons, never the wrong. Since Wayne has been elected to the Board of Education, the Monroe-Woodbury School District has experienced the lowest increases in the past 15 years. With Wayne’s independent thinking and corporate experience, I feel that Wayne is one of the best candidates to be re-elected to the school board. James C. Purcell Village of Monroe Mayor
