The good argument

Kudos to (The Photo News) for publishing Chris Owney’s editorial favoring decriminalization of marijuana (7 Jan.). The writer’s background - he’s a retired narcotics detective for the NYPD - lends extra credence to his argument in favor of legalizing and taxing marijuana just as alcohol and tobacco are taxed.
