Thanks to my supporters
To the Editor: I write this letter to thank all the people who supported and voted for me in my run for a seat on the Monroe-Woodbury School Board. It is always exciting when people exercise their right and make their voices heard. What a great example for future generations! I thank you for your trust and your confidence. To say the support that I received was overwhelming and humbling is an understatement. Sincere thanks go to the people who hosted signs, put in a good word for me and were willing to volunteer their time. Along the way, I met numerous individuals who are concerned that their children won’t have the same opportunities as others before them. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage more people to get involved in the school board meetings and speak with an independent voice. We cannot afford to return to business as usual. Individual thanks go to my running mate John MacDonald, who I teamed with because I believe in him. Special thanks to my husband, Ron, parents, Marilyn and Gene Martin, and all of our family and friends. Lastly, thank you to Ben Myers for the endorsement and support of the Woodbury Gazette.
