Thanks for the hard work

I am writing to publicly acknowledge the efforts of those who worked to spruce up the September 11th Memorial in time for the Memorial Day parade this past Sunday. Geri DeAngelis and the Monroe Woodbury Garden Club donated their time to weed and plant petunias at the site. Brian Smith and the men at the Department of Public Works mulched, dug holes and replaced the worn flags at the Memorial. And finally my wife, Debbie, and my son, “Seamus,” also gave up part of their weekend to help out. I am grateful to everyone for their hard work. The September 11th Memorial looks beautiful. Thank you. James Purcell Village of Monroe Mayor
