'The Assemblyman’s track record is proof that he always has Monroe-Woodbury’s back'

Don Siebold, the Woodbury Republican Chairman, should stop misrepresenting the facts about our forthright and upstanding Assemblyman and remove his partisan blinders.
The fact of the matter is Monroe-Woodbury's own financial analysis of the recent boundary shift demonstrated that there would be a short-term deficit due to the loss of taxable property. However, thanks to the diligence of Assemblyman James Skoufis, the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District secured $1 million in special aid to more than cover the entirety of this net loss in the sort-term.
In the subsequent medium and long-term years, it is in Monroe-Woodbury's financial interest to shift the boundaries because the expenses associated with transportation and student-related services for non-public school students would far exceed the aforementioned tax revenue.
Hence, the annual loss that Mr. Siebold puts forth is simply not accurate.
The Assemblyman’s track record is proof that he always has Monroe-Woodbury’s back; this November, people of all parties should have his.
Let's elect one of our own and send James Skoufis to the State Senate.
