Re-elect Judge Strauss

| 13 Mar 2012 | 04:18

Judge Forrest Strauss is more than just a judge in the Village of Monroe. He is also a man dedicated to his community. Forrest has taken on the job as judge for the right reasons - not the wrong ones.

Since Forrest has become judge he has maintained a fair and respectful court. He is strong on all quality of life issues to make sure we maintain the beauty of the village that we all love.

Forrest and his staff work and communicate with all agencies to make sure that the court runs as efficiently as possible to minimize the costs.

Forrest has been instrumental in bringing in $46,000 in grant money through JCAP to the village court to offset costs. He also was able to bring to the court computer equipment and programs at no additional cost to the taxpayers.

Forrest also implemented an internship program for college students taking law classes that help save the village 130 hours in labor costs. A win-win for all.

He is not just a judge in our community. Forrest is also on the activities committee with Melinda MacDonald Gormley and other volunteers to ensure that the summer concert series and other planned activities for 2012 continue here in the village to bring the community together.

Forrest is a team player and a person who listens. With all the governing bodies here in the village, Forrest works well with all. Being efficient and using all its resources is so key to the function of government.

I support Judge Forrest Strauss in his re-election not just as a judge but also a community-minded individual who cares so much about the Village of Monroe we call home.
