Monroe Town Councilman Sal Scancarello: 'Our great community is in a rebuilding mode'
I would like to thank some people.
First off, I want to thank my wife Christine, who always supports me and believes in me.
I want to acknowledge Mike McGinn and Tony Cardone who I get the privilege of sitting next at town board meetings.
Their passion and love for Monroe is second to none. It is an honor to sit between them.
Also to Mary Bingham and Rick Colon for their knowledge of town issues and town agendas.
Also to Ann Marie Morris, who I worked with on our food truck festivals.
I believe moving forward the five of us, working with village officials, can make a huge difference in this community.
I have heard many times in the past year Monroe is shedding its skin.
I look forward to 2019 and beyond and bringing our community closer than it has ever been, to our food truck festivals and vastly improved farmers market, to our village acquiring new businesses.
Our great community is in a rebuilding mode.
Let’s all keep it moving in the right direction
Thank you
Sal Scancarello
Monroe Town Board
Sal Scancarello was appointed to the Monroe Town Board in February to fill the seat created when Tony Cardone was elected supervisor. Scancarello was elected in November to complete what was then-Councilman Cardone’s four-year term.
