Additional thoughts of a concerned World War II veteran

I could not believe that a president of the United States of America would say “s…hole countries.”
The Statue of Liberty that stands in the lower Hudson Bay says it all. No further words are required to explain who we are.
Frank Sinatra made famous many, many songs. One in particular, “That’s Life,” had a line: “I’ve been a puppet, a pauper....”
President Trump’s theme song should be,: I am “a braggart, a bully, a liar, a sexiest, a misogynist, a narcissist, possibly a cheat (subject to finally seeing his tax return) and possibly an obstructor of justice.”
I remember during the Joseph McCarthy hearings, Joseph Welsh said: “Senator, let us not assassinate this lad, further. Senator, you’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency? Sir, at long last, have you no sense of decency?”
So I am asking President Trump “have you no shame?” You insult and denigrate anyone who disagrees with you.
Your national and international decisions are hurting this nation. We are losing face with the world.
We must learn from history. Thank God that men of good conscience and values halted the abuse of power perpetrated by these Senator McCarthy and Richard Nixon.
Unfortunately, Senator John McCain is handicapped to lead this fight. I am asking all political parties, particularly Republicans, to stop this behavior.
Our country has always had a strong leader in times of crisis. We are approaching a “time of crisis.”
The damage that President Trump is doing/will do, to our country will impact our grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I don’t want to leave this world knowing we could have stopped this chaos.
