Giving thanks - and results

The Religious of Jesus and Mary and the board of directors of Bethany Spirituality Center, Highland Mills, wish to extend our gratitude to you and your newspaper for the coverage of the 100th anniversary of the Sisters’ presence and service in Highland Mills and the first “Soles for Souls” Benefit Walk/Run 5K. We want to thank the local Village and Town officials; the primary sponsors of the event, namely, Woodbury Pharmacy, Smith Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc., Shoprite, W.& J. Ebner, Inc., Newburgh Toyota; and the many local organizations and individuals that supported our first time event held at Earl Reservoir on April 30. Honorable mention goes to St. Patrick’s Church for their support and the men of Woodbury Community Association who worked tirelessly in cooking and serving lunch to the nearly 300 Walk/Run 5K participants.
