A ton of thanks for all those who made Woodbury Spring Cleaning such a success

On behalf of all those involved in organizing this year’s Woodbury Spring Cleaning Day, especially the Woodbury Environmental Conservation Committee and notably Fred Ungerer, Marghi and David Quigley, Neil Crouse, Bob Colbert and Mary Porcu, we would like to thank the 150 participants who came out earlier this month and the dozens of community groups and local businesses that made this great day possible. As word continues to grow, the cleanup has become a bigger and better community event. This year we picked up 20 cubic yards of trash, or three large Dumpsters full, which is 33 percent more than last year. Likewise, we had 50 more participants than last year, a reflection of the growing awareness amongst Woodbury residents and the community’s care for keeping our town a green and clean one. Special thanks to :Highland Mills Fire Company, Central Valley Fire Company, Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, Monroe-Woodbury Schools and Art Classes, Jay’s Deli, Mojo Distributors, Ryan Crosby State Farm, County Waste, Weyant Lawn Care, Volpe Vending, Yoursport, Reynolds Oil, Walmart, Woodbury Common, BJs, Around Back Consignment, Central Valley Farmers Market, Woodbury Lions Club, Woodbury Community Association, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, Woodbury Gazette and Photo News. Again, thank you all for making Woodbury Spring Cleaning Day a very successful one and we are already looking forward to next year.
