YWCA offers session on sexual harassment in the workplace
Goshen The YWCA Orange County will offer a free information session on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, at 40 Matthews Street in Goshen, in the first floor conference room. The topics will include legal rights and responsibilities, how to confront harassers and local resources. The session is supported by Bergstein & Ullrich of Chester, a small law firm that represents plaintiffs in the area of civil rights, employment discrimination, and sexual harassment. Helen Ullrich and Christopher Watkins will present the legal portion of the program. They are experienced litigators, who have represented women in employment-related gender discrimination and sexual harassment cases. The YWCA Orange County, founded in Newburgh in 1988, has provided leadership opportunities for women for over a century. The national mission of “eliminating racism and empowering women” is fulfilled locally through programs addressing economic empowerment, racial justice, women’s health, violence against women, family support, childcare and community building.
