Woodbury needs leadership'
To the editor: We are writing to express our support for John Burke as supervisor for the Town of Woodbury. John has demonstrated his commitment to our town. He has demonstrated his work ethic and his leadership abilities. John is sensitive to the increasing tax burden that we all share. He knows that if more homes are built, beyond what is currently allowed by our current zoning laws, the impact on traffic, water use and other infrastructure items will be significantly negative. John fully understands that if the majority of the present town board members create five new laws to favor developers, it will not be in our best interest. These five laws would, for example, permit the building of 731 homes instead of the 308 homes allowed the by current zoning laws. This represents an increase of 237 percent. These are the facts now. The Town Board is well aware that five more large undeveloped parcels still exist in our town, which will benefit from increased density. Increased density means higher town and school taxes. We can't afford it! Sincerely, Brian and Lora Vite Central Valley
