HARRIMAN-Tiger Schulmann’s Karate will conduct a free safety seminar for women, by women, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at its center at 290 Larkin Drive, Suite 102, in the Harriman Commons. Presented as a WOMANSAFE Program, the seminar is broken into two parts. The first is a safety lecture presented by a woman who has been specially trained and credentialed in the latest statistics and information regarding rape and other violent crimes. The second part is a hands-on self-defense workshop, taught by a certified black-belt instructor. These women will share important insights, tips, and general awareness issues. The programs were created for the sole purpose of educating and empowering women to live life safely and without fear. Women should call 782-9049 or 1-800-52-TIGER for more information and to reserve a space.
