Why my husband deserves your consideration

To the editor: As the wife of Jim Purcell, candidate for Village of Monroe trustee, I would like to give you an insight to this man and his running mates, Jeff Peifer and Wayne Chan. Jim is a kind and gentle man who I’ve enjoyed being the wife and best friend of for more than 15 years. Knowing him has made me a better human being. He has an extreme compassion for people who are less fortunate than himself. His ethical standards are second to none. He is uncompromising in his fight for working men and women today and he believes in community. This is a new endeavor for him, yes, but his tireless efforts for being an extremely successful member of Local Union #3 I.B.E.W. has proven his ability to work unselfishly for the benefit of others. His current responsibilities for the overseeing of all new street lighting construction for the five boroughs of New York City and past traffic light maintenance has not been an easy task. His successes have been from nothing more than tireless hard work. Jim Purcell is a man of integrity and generosity. Jim has found a common, down-home camaraderie with his running mates, mayoral candidate Jeff Peifer and trustee candidate Wayne Chan. Jeff’s past trustee experience and Wayne’s extraordinary leadership and volunteerism make for a winning team. Forget politics of the past and please put your trust in Jeff Peifer for mayor of the Village of Monroe and Jim Purcell and Wayne Chan for Village of Monroe trustees - concerned citizens of the Village of Monroe - on March 21. Sincere regards, Debbie Purcell Monroe
