Where the warmth of the season begins

Residents of The Promenade in Tuxedo worked hard all summer making scarves and hats for the Seamenís Center Institute in New York. Since 1898, The Seamenís Center has given out packages to sailors from around the world during the holiday season when they come into port. As part of each gift, the Center likes to include a handmade item. This year an estimated 18,000 packages will be distributed. The Rev. Betty McWhorter of St. Maryís-In-Tuxedo Episcopal Church in Tuxedo introduced the residents to the Seamenís Center and their program of Christmas at Sea.
