When two strong forces meet

To the editor: At times the needs of a community can go unanswered, but that is not the case when two strong forces meet to better a situation. The children of Smith Clove Elementary used the month of February to collect food for our local food pantry. Their unselfish efforts netted more than 50 boxes of non-perishable food. This food was then delivered to the food pantry, unpacked and stocked on shelves by the members of Girl Scout Troop 484, led by Mrs. Marylynne Malone. Many of these girls were prior students of Smith Clove Elementary. Through the joint efforts of two student groups the needs of our food pantry were meet. I would like to extend my thanks to these involved children. Christine Taylor School Nurse Teacher Smith Clove Elementary
