March opened with a freezing mixture of snow and sleet. It served as a reminder that while spring is tantalizingly close, winter remains, as this scene at the pond in Monroe shows. The weather can still wreak havoc, as shown here by this accident scene last Thursday on Larkin Drive near BJ’s. State police reported no one was injured.
