Wanted: Christmas clothing for those in need
MONROE Get out all those old Christmas sweaters, dresses and Santa suits that were great for that “one-day only” wearing and put them to good use. The Christmas Outfitters, a ministry of Sacred Heart Parish Outreach, are collecting Christmas clothing, shoes and accessories to distribute to families in need this holiday season. Organizers are seeking infant, toddler, and children’s donations up to size 16 so families in need can have an opportunity to dress their children in holiday attire. Donations can be dropped off at Sacred Heart Parish office, located on the campus of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; or 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays at Sacred Heart Chapel - home to Our Father’s Kitchen and Our Mother’s Cupboard - on Stage Road in Monroe. Donated clothing will be made available to families in need beginning in December. To learn more, call Michelle Jacoby at 238-5838 or Tracy Gregorie at 987-7116. - Nancy Kriz
