Village of Monroe to host ‘Evening of the Arts' July 8

MONROE-"An Evening of The Arts" is being planned on Millpond Parkway in Monroe on Thursday, July 8. The Village of Monroe along with Action in Monroe will host the event, scheduled from 4 to 10 p.m. The Allegro Orchestra, Orange County Dance and many artists will be participating. The Monroe Free Library will offer an artistic evening of "chalk art" on sidewalks open to the public. Charlotte Grossarth, event coordinator, said, "We encourage and welcome all local artists in Orange County to participate." Artists will be able to sell their work. There will be no charge for entering or for exhibit space. "We are inviting sculpting, photography, oil, watercolor, pastel, whatever your passion," said Grossarth, adding, "Join us for an ‘Art Full' evening." To reserve space, contact Grossarth at 782-1933.
