Veterans'gift of music

Dr. Judy A. Weissman, the musical director at the VA Castle Point Hospital, is pictured here at a Steinway Grand Piano recently repaired and retuned thanks to a grant secured by the Irving Zuckerman Post 758 Jewish War Veterans of Monroe. The piano, which sits in the main meeting room at the hospital, was tuned by Ilan Hahn of Complete Piano and Service of Monroe. The grant was donated by the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Monroe. Meanwhile, the Post continues with its gift-pack program, sending 40 packages to the National Guard troops called for duty in New Orleans. (Photo by Sid Tendler)
