To the editor: I have lived next door to Alicia Vaccaro for the last 14 years. Not only has she proven to be a good neighbor and good friend, but we have spent many an evening discussing issues affecting Monroe, the town we have both come to love. Alicia’s background as a civil engineer has gone a long way toward giving her the tools she needs to assist her as a planning board member, and she has shown that she is both straight-forward and honest. Her community involvement goes much deeper than solely being a part of the Town of Monroe Planning Board. She has been both a Girl Scout leader and a Friend of the Monroe Free Library for many years. Most importantly, Alicia is a caring member of this community. Her intention is to make this the best community it can be for her family and for all our families as well, now and for our children and their children. Alicia is not driven by special interests; she is driven by love of family and community. Alicia is the best choice for Town Supervisor. Together with her running mates, Audra Schwartz and John Rios, she will be an asset to our town government; to our town; and to our lives. Sheree Goldstein Monroe
