Tuxedo Ambulance Corps teaches first aid techniques to GGM fifth-graders

TUXEDO — Students from Ashley Burke’s and Julia Tartaglione’s fifth grade classes at George Grant Mason School in Tuxedo recently met with representatives of the Tuxedo Ambulance Corps at the school to review first aid techniques in case of an emergency. Students participated in hands-on activities with paramedics Greg Berger and Ed Mattes which included how to put on a bandage and how to use a stethoscope. The paramedics provided a lesson in proper first aid techniques as part of the students’ health curriculum. - Nancy Kriz
