During the holidays, many local organizations collect donations of toys for the children of families in need, so that no child goes without something special under the tree. The United States Marine Corps will be collecting new toys for Toys for Tots from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday, Dec. 2, at the K-B Toy Outlet at 620 Bluebird Court in Woodbury Common. Coldwell Banker Currier & Lazier Realtor, in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps, is holding their annual Toys for Tots collection. To put a smile on a child’s face this holiday season, drop new and unwrapped toys at 791 Route 17M in Monroe. Call 782-5151. Monroe Joint Parks and Recreation Commission will be collecting unwrapped toys for Toys For Tots at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at Smith’s Clove Park on Spring St. in Monroe. Call 783-9108. Keller Williams Realty will host its 8th annual toy drive for the Toys for Tots program from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Harriman Auto will act as a drop off facility for collecting new unwrapped toys for boys and girls for The Marine Corps drive for Toys For Tots. The dealership is located at 2 Ramapo Ave. in Harriman. Call 782-7859. Until Friday, Dec. 16, Bank of America banking centers will accept toys for local charities to benefit children in your area. The toys must be new, unwrapped and appropriate for children up to 18 years of age. They can be dropped off at any of these locations: 23 East Main St., Washingtonville; 54 West Main St., Goshen; Route 32 and Temple Hill Road, Vails Gate; and 671 County Route 1, Pine Island. Parents may choose items for each of their children at no charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Chester Erie Railroad Station at 19 Winkler Place in Chester. Gift wrapping will be available, free of charge. Drop-off boxes are available at the following locations: Brookside Chiropractic, Chester Academy, Chester Elementary School, Chester Greenery And Gifts, Chester Public Library, Chester Village Police Station, Colonial Bowling Lanes, Hambletonian Auto Spa, Hudson United Bank, Jennie’s Deli, Key Bank, and Provident Bank.
