Tour of West Point
| 21 Feb 2012 | 11:15

Girl Scouts from Central Valley and Highland Mills braved the rain on Thursday, Oct. 13, to visit West Point and learn about its history. They toured the campus by bus, walked to Trophy Point and other monuments, and learned about the physical and academic rigors in the life of a cadet. The girls posed for a picture under the statue of General MacArthur. About 40 percent of cadets at West Point were previously Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, and about 15 percent were either Boy Scouts who went on to become Eagle Scouts, or Girl Scouts who completed their Gold Award.
