Timothy Montalvo, pictured here with Troop 240 Scout Master Ron Rendano, was presented with his Eagle Scout Award during ceremonies on May 30 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Monroe. Tim belongs to Troop 240, which meets at the Harriman United Methodist Church. For his Eagle project, he chose to design, construct and install a sign and message board for the new town park located on Berry Road in Monroe. With the help of his troop and Monroe Town Board member Jim Rogers, Tim acquired the materials, had professional plans drawn and organized, constructed and installed. His parents now have two Eagle scouts one year apart from each other. Tim will be entering 12th grade in the fall and plans to go to college to be a chef.
