The ashes of 13 local veterans that lay unclaimed for years at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home in Middletown were buried on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Orange County Veterans’ Cemetery in Goshen. The families of the veterans, who had served in wars from World War I through Vietnam, had never picked up the remains.
