There was much more to the story than reported

To the editor: I was so disappointed to read your article regarding the lake rescue story. The true story was not told in that the heroic efforts were done by two local residents - Michael Lennon and Bill Brown Jr. It was in fact these two heroes that actually jumped into a row boat and rescued Bonnie Gaither. They, in fact, brought her to shore where upon arrival they were then met by the rescue services of the police and fire department. Again, it was disappointing to read an article in your paper and positively know that it did not report the complete facts. I hope to see in this week’s issue a reprint stating these facts.
