Thank you and congratulations

To the editor: I would like to thank the 308 voters of the Village of Monroe who supported me, the only independent candidate in this election. It was a pleasure to meet those of you who signed my petition and came to your door as I was campaigning. I also want to thank the Seniors of Monroe (and Ann Marie Morris) who graciously allowed me to come to the Center to reflect on our memories of Monroe and to discuss what lies ahead. For those of you I was unable to visit during the campaign, I hope to meet you in the future. Congratulations to John Karl, Charlie Lesser and Wayne Chan on their successful campaigns. It is my hope that they will carry forward my message of creating a vision and a financial plan for the village. I think we all want to see our village as Charlie Lesser so aptly put it, “Become the jewel of Orange County.” The only way to accomplish that is to learn from history and plan for the future. I intend to keep www.fergusonformonroe.com available for those who wish to be informed on village issues and finances. Information is key to any decision not only for elected officials, but for the voting public.
