    Monroe — Monroe Village Police announced the arrest this week of a 21st person in connection with a yearlong undercover investigation of drug sales. Brian Tietjen, 24, of Monroe was charged Oct. 22 with Criminal Sale and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substances in the 3rd degree and Criminal Sale of marijuana. Police he sold the narcotic drug Oxycontin and pot to an undercover police officer on two occasions. He was arraigned and sent to Orange County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. Meanwhile in a separate incident, police charged a young pregant woman with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a two-car accident in a parking lot at 4:20 a.m. on Oct. 21. Police said the driver of one car, Sasha Almastica, 21, of New York City, had recently smoked PCP, a synthetic anesthetic also known as angel dust. Police also said she was six-months pregnant. She also was charged with criminal impersonation for giving police a false name and birthday at the scene of the accident. Police said the vehicle she was driving was taken without the owner’s permission from a home in Newburgh, but he declined to pursue any charges against her. No one was injured in the accident. Almastica was arraigned and sent to Orange County Jail on $3,000.00 cash bail.
