Stop & Shop Supermarket introduces key card payment
Monroe - Customers at the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Route 17M in Monroe can now use “PayVantage,” which is described as a quick and easy way for customers to pay for their groceries. The PayVantage feature offers one-swipe checkout by linking a customer’s current Stop & Shop card or keytag to his or her checking account, credit card or debit card. To ensure secure payments, PayVantage customers use a four- to six-digit PIN at the checkout. All PayVantage data is safeguarded on a secure network. “If you ever lose your Stop & Shop card, no one else can use it for any Stop & Shop purchases,” said Ed Porter, the company’s vice president of customer marketing. PayVantage will work at all Stop & Shop registers at the front end as well as at in-store pharmacies, florists, deli counters, bakeshops and in-store Boston Market and Dunkin’ Donuts shops. Customers who link their Stop & Shop card to their checking account using a personal check also will be able to receive cash back with their purchases. Activation specialists at the Monroe store will be available to see customers through the activation process. All customers need to activate PayVantage is a state photo ID, their Stop & Shop card or keytag, and their checkbook, credit or debit card. As an introductory offer, Stop & Shop is offering $5 off the first PayVantage transaction to all customers who want to give it a try.
