St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monroe supporting hurricane relief effort
Monroe - St. Paul Lutheran Church is seeking donations of household items, clothes and other necessities that will be sent to churches in Baton Rouge, La., to help people affected by Hurricane Katrina. All goods must be delivered to the church, located at 21 Still Road in Monroe, by Thursday, Sept. 22, where they will be sorted and packed onto a trailer headed to Louisiana. The items that are needed include: Non-perishable food items, healthy snack items and juice boxes. Soap, lotion, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, tooth paste and brushes, combs and hair brushes. New or used clothes (any sizes) in good condition. Please separate clothing by size and gender. Diapers and underwear. Towels, sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Batteries (D, C, AA, AAA) and hand-held games. Cleaning supplies and hygiene supplies. Duffle bags and suitcases First Aid kits. Bibles, new or used. No winter items are needed.
