Wrestler Marco Vespa named Monroe-Woodbury 'Athlete of the Week'

CENTRAL VALLEY — Monroe-Woodbury Athletic Director Lori Hock announced that Marco Vespa, a member of the Varsity Wrestling team coached by John Gartiser, is the “Athlete of the Week” for the period ending Jan. 11, 2019.
Marco is the returning two-time New York State medalist seeking his fourth section title this year.
He has defeated two New York State medalists during his undefeated run so far this season.
Marco already has a Monroe-Woodbury record of more than 100 career falls and he is closing in on his 200th career victory.
