Wrestler Marco Vespa is Monroe-Woodbury's 'Athlete of the Week'

CENTRAL VALLEY — Marco Vespa, a member of the Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Wrestling Team coached by John Gartiser, is the high school's "Athlete of the Week" for the period ending Jan. 12, Athletic Director Lori Hock announced.
Marco recently won the Shoreline Invitational in dominating fashion. He pinned all four of his opponents in the first period which earned him the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
"Marco focuses on every competition as an opportunity to grow as a wrestler and an individual," Gartiser said.
