MONROE The Royals captured the Monroe-Woodbury Little League Majors Championship in an epic best-of-three battle with the Rockies. Game one went to the Rockies with great hitting. Game two went to the Royals with great pitching by Kieran Bagley and a high-powered offense. In the final game, the Royals defeated the talented Rockies 6-5 by taking the lead in the final inning, with Justin Scotto going the distance on the mound. The Royals also won the American League season title with a 10-2 loss record.
