HOPEWELL JUNCTION — On Saturday afternoon, the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders traveled to John Jay High School in Hopewell Junction to take part in a multi team scrimmage.
Besides the Crusaders and the John Jay Patriots, the Mounties of Suffern and the Plainsmen of Shenendehowa High School all took turns facing each other on offense, defense and special teams.
It was the last scrimmage of the preseason for the coaches to set their depth charts and get their offensive and defensive schemes ready for the season opener.
The Crusaders will start their season on Saturday afternoon, Sept.. 1, when they take on Li’L Irish of Aquinas Institute at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
