MILFORD, PA. — On a foggy Friday afternoon, Dec. 28, the Crusaders traveled to Delaware Valley High School to take on the Warriors.
The Crusaders entered the game with a 5-1 record on the season.
They had been scheduled to take on East Stroudsburg, Pa., Cavaliers on Thursday but that game was canceled.
The Warriors got off to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter but the Crusaders came out of the fog and charged off to a 15-7 lead.
Jamie Waldron led the Crusader come back scoring six of her 13 points in the game in the first quarter.
In the second quarter the Crusaders took control of the game and outscored the Warriors 19-5 while pulling out to a 34-12 half-time lead.
The Crusaders increased their lead in the third quarter as Melissa Alifano scored eight of her game-high 16 points.
In the final quarter of play the Crusaders got everybody into the game and with Liz Allen going 4-4 from the free throw line and Kiley Metcalf scoring five they came away with a 61-34 victory.
The Crusaders win gives them a 6-1 record.
Their next game will be on Thursday when they travel to Pine Bush High School.
