MONROE — The Maroon and Black from Jesters continued their playoff push with a 25-5 win over Brazen Head Pub.
The offense was led by Eddie Quinn (5-5 with three RBIs), Will Fredricks (4-5 with four RBIs) and Bruce Fischer (3-3 with five RBIs). The defense again was outstanding, led by Lou Sorgenti with an over-the-shoulder wide receiver-style catch with the bases loaded.
Next up for the Comedians is the always tough Billy Ball squad.

‘Toilet-bowl trophy’

Local favorite plumbers Toms Plumbing & Heating and Nebrasky Plumbing went head to head competing for the coveted “Toilet-bowl trophy.”
Tom’s Plumbing took back the trophy. Ed Sayer had a bases-clearing triple that sparked Tom’s Plumbing to a 14-4 victory over Nebrasky.
Sean Donovan had two hits and two RBIs and Jay Ribbicca had three hits and two runs scored. Tom Wall had an RBI and John Speranza pitched the win for Tom’s.

Warriors 24
Brazen Head 1

The Warriors beat Brazen Head 24-1. Danny Martin pitched a gem and the only run that scored was unearned.
John Dolan had three home runs and eight RBIs, James Gover had three hits and four RBIs and Billy Kelly hit his first career home run. And the defense was stellar.

Rand Realty 17
Billy Ball 14

Rand Realty defeated Billy Ball 17–14. Rand scored eight in the first and was up 14-3 but Billy Ball came back and gave Rand a scare with the tying run at the plate.
