Golf rules and etiquette luncheon

NEWBURGH — The Executive Women’s Golf Association, Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter, will hold a luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at Winding Hills Club House, 1847 County Route 17K, Montgomery.

Gil Anderson, the teaching pro at Winding Hills, will review the Simplified Rules of Play, introduce the 2012 U.S. Golf Association changes to the Rules of Golf, discuss the proper etiquette and pace of play, allowing for continuous, uninterrupted play for both the seasoned and the beginning players.

Anderson also promises a sneak peak at alternative rules to speed play, without impeding anyone’s enjoyment.

The cost is $20 for lunch, or $50 for lunch plus golf with cart at Winding Hills afterward.
