Diver Chris Egan chosen as M-W 'Athlete of the Week'

CENTRAL VALLEY — Chris Egan, a member of the Monroe-Woodbury Boys Varsity Swim team coached by Justin Wright, is the “Athlete of the Week” for the period ending Feb. 2, Athletic Director Lori Hock announced.
"Chris is really having a tremendous senior campaign," Wright said in the athletic department's press release announcing the selection. "He has already qualified for the state championships with a tremendous showing at the prestigious Shenendehowa Holiday Invitational.
"This past week," the coach added, "he set a new school record for the six-dive 1 meter dive event. He is a tremendous role model to all of his fellow divers and swimmers."
Egan, the senior captain diver, signed a letter of intent with Binghamton University this past fall.
