CENTRAL VALLEY — The Monroe-Woodbury varsity football team opens the 2012 season this evening, Aug. 31, at home against upstate Binghamton.
The Crusaders have a new head in longtime assistant Bernie Connolly, who takes over a team that has won seven of the last eight Section 9 Class AA titles under Pat D’Aliso. Although D’Aliso has retired, he returns as offensive coordinator.
