Cross Country runner Andrew Yi selected M-W 'Athlete of the Week'

CENTRAL VALLEY — Andrew Yi, a member of the Monroe-Woodbury Boys Varsity Cross Country Team coached by James Glover, is the high school's "Athlete of the Week" for the period ending Nov. 2, 2018.
"Andrew has been consistently improving all season," Glover said in the press release from Athletic Director Lori Hock's office. "He has been our No. 1 runner all season and finished third at the OCIAA Championship meet last Friday, leading the team to a fourth-place finish.
"Andrew has taken on a leadership role with the team, helping the captains to bring the team together to meet our goal of defending our Section IX championship," the coach added.
Andrew is also an honor student, carrying a 94 GPA.
"Congratulations, Andrew," Glover said. "We are very proud of your accomplishments as a student athlete."
