Bear Mountain. The puck drops on the Crusaders’ hockey season with Purple vs. White scrimmage

Last Friday night, March 5, at the Bear Mountain State Park Ice Rink, the 2020-2021 Crusader hockey season came to an end.

All the regular season games had been canceled because of the ongoing pandemic, so the season, especially for the seniors consisted of only practices.

On Friday night, Head Coach Tom Natoli and Assistant Coaches Frank Alessandrino and Mike Natoli divided the team for a Purple versus White scrimmage under the lights at the old Bear Mountain Ice Rink.

So with the score board set up and a referee on the ice the Crusaders hit the ice.

After the puck dropped the two teams put on quite a show as they really seemed to enjoy just getting a chance to play a game that they love.

After the Purple defeated the White in the scrimmage, the the team and the coaches got to say goodbye to the eight seniors on this year’s team.

The Crusaders are looking forward to next season with a strong under class returning and hopefully to get back on the ice with a regular season.
