Granted, this may not be the most compelling photograph, but that silver panel on top of the roof of Monroe-Woodbury High school is a six-kilowatt solar power system that will generate about 8,000-kilowatt hours a year. That’s two percent of the school’s electricity, or enough to run six ovens, 15 air conditioners, 74 computers and 248 sixty-watt light bulbs. (Photo by Linda Keay)
